Numbers 30:2 If a man vow a vow unto the Lord, or swear an oath to bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceedeth out of his mouth.
too often we make promises in the desperation of the moment and more than half the time, we fail to live up. as a result many hearts have been broken, materials have been lost and lives have been destroyed.
our words are like bonds tying us to a particular obligation, which we are not only held accountable by men but also by God. our promises unto others are viewed as debt by God and when we fail to redeem them they are debt on our soul.
you might say you are a believer, a pastor, a priest, imam or sheik, if your words are not your bond then you are less than an infidel.
let your words be your pride as God exhausts His words more than His name.
