It is Time

Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. 20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. 21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

I was reading a friend’s post the other day and he wrote that all the troubles in the world are caused by Muslims. Many Christians also believe this assertion but the truth is, Believers (True Christians and Real Muslims) are to be blamed for all these troubles. Why? You want to ask, right? Well, it is because we have failed in our primary responsibility, our responsibility to fulfill the above prophesy, the scripture as written in Luke 4:18 -19.

God has called us all, irrespective of our religion, to establish the kingdom of God on earth, to preach the goodnews, to touch hearts and change souls, to heal the sick and bless the poor, to let our character teach the goodness of God. But so far we have failed, those we have refused to change are changing our lives negatively, those we have failed to show the goodness of God are dishing us the evil from the pith of hell, while people we have failed to bless are unleashing curses on our land.

Let me ask you, have you spoken to anyone about God today? Have you blessed any soul today? Have you comforted a weak mind today? and Have you prayed to change someone’s life or status today? I am not saying I am free from these shortcomings as well but I believe it is not too late to start.

We owe ourselves and our children a better nation, it is in our power to establish God’s Kingdom on earth, the Kingdom where peace reigns and love is not only in songs. Here is the task before us:

1. Preach the gospel of peace
2. Show love to everyone irrespective of religion, race or colour
3. Pray for the sick and the brokenhearted, encourage the weak and teach the unruly
4. Have a charater that tells people how sweet God is
5. Take leadership position so you can set things right from the top.

This is a task for all believers, Christ re-emphasized this because we have all been created by God for this purpose, it is time to fulfill the scripture.
