They Need Your Prayers
Matt 26:40 Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Couldn’t you men keep watch with me for one hour?” he asked Peter. 41 “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
A sister came to confide in me about what she has been enduring for a while now, a series of molestation backed up by countless numbers of sex-text from the head pastor of her parish. I was bittered and my first instinct was to condemn and abuse the pastor but then these words came to me, “They need your prayers”. Instantly i held myself back and i just prayed with the sister and for the pastor. I then advised her to fellowship with another in the meantime.
The kingdom of hell is threatened by the revival currently going on and in retaliation it has unleashed the spirit of adultery on the church, targetting the heads (strike the shepherd and the sheep will scatter). The church needs to rise to this challenge in unison, put our doctrines, our personal differences aside and pray for one another as a church of God
We need to pray for our heads; priests, pastors, choir masters, evangelists etc. We the church need to wake up and keep watch for them. Temptation is at its highest now and the flesh is at its weakest but James 5:16 says Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
Remember, these sets of people are those most of us get strength of our faith from, they are the ones that motivate us, they lay hands on us and our family, they must not be possessed, they must not fall, so that the church and christian homes won’t be drawn back.
Brethren, They need your prayers. God bless you as you spare a moment for them in prayers.
