I Am With You

Isaiah 41:10-13  Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Behold, all who are incensed against you shall be put to shame and confounded; those who strive against you shall be as nothing and shall perish. You shall seek those who contend with you, but you shall not find them; those who war against you shall be as nothing at all. For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you,“Fear not, I am the one who helps you.”

I remember a friend’s story. He lost his job first week of January 2011, he felt miserable and rejected. 6 months down the line, series of applications and vocational jobs all to no avail, it was like God had forsaken him. Armed with his CV, after 3days of fasting and prayer which ended on his birthday, he went to a bluechip company in Lagos from Akure, and demanded to see the Head of Human resources. To cut the story short, without a previous appointment with the man or vacancy advert, he was able to see the man and he was given a job. Till today, my friend can’t explain how it happened.

God’s favour is real. He has promised to be with you; to make way in the wilderness, bring water from the rocks to quench your thirst and to put the gods of your enemies to shame because of you. It is not your job to try and figure how He is going to do it, your job is to believe He can, and you take bold steps to prove your faith. Joel Osteen said, “we have to do our part…we have to have the right attitude” the attitude that says, “I ain’t going to loose faith because my God is faithful and I will not be disappointed because my God keeps His appointments.” An attitude of the son or daughter of the King of kings.

Take bold steps today, He is with you and He never fails.
