Your Weakness is also Your Strength

Your weakness is also your strength

Do you know that what people call your weakness is also your strength? Do you know that what seems to always put you in trouble, if well harnessed can put you before Kings? Do you know that what is seen as your shortcoming is actually a gift in disguise?

A club in the hands of farmer may be just another farming tool but in the hands of a warrior, it is a weapon capable of taking over the world with. The difference is in who is wielding it and what the person sees it as; farmer or a warrior, a farming tool or a weapon.

Winfrey was fired from her evening news reporter gig with Baltimore’s WJZ-TV because she got too emotionally invested in her stories. But you know what, Oprah’s success was built on her emotions. Note; same emotions, she got fired for brought her success, so you begin to wonder what changed?

In my opinion, two things changed.

One, her experience changed her from being a farmer (Oprah that needed the bosses approval) to a warrior (Oprah that feels she can get things done).

Two, her emotions were no longer tools to show pity, it became weapon to get the deepest buried secrets from her interviewees and to get her audience addicted to her show amongst other things.

I’ve come to believe that each of us has a personal calling that’s as unique as a fingerprint – and that the best way to succeed is to discover what you love and then find a way to offer it to others in the form of service, working hard, and also allowing the energy of the universe to lead you. – Oprah Winfrey

What is your weakness?

You are too nice? You always looking for the easy way out? You are not good academically? You talk too much? No one takes you serious? You look seductive? You like risk too much? You always want to help?

Whatever people may have labeled your weakness, you can turn it around to become the basis for your success. You have to start seeing things from a different perspective and let your past experience make you a better wielder of that special gift they called weakness.
