The saying goes that there is only one constant thing in life and it is CHANGE. Change good or bad comes with lots of challenges, naturally whatever is new will take getting used to. As humans, we tend to resist change, especially when it means we have to loss something; money, friends, fun time, opportunity, attention etc. Good change on the other hand means we gain but still an uncharted territory and it would also take getting used to example getting married.

Resisting change for most people take different forms, some completely breakdown and think of ending it all, some look for devine intervention, some act to prevent the change from taking place while few welcome the change and see how they can get the best from it. My question is which group do you belong to? Change is an integral part of existence, and the truth is whatever change is coming is as a result of our past actions or inactions.
Like I said earlier, change whether good or bad comes with its challenges. How do we know which change is inevitable? How do we deal with the challenges that comes with change? How do we channel our energy to embracing the new normal rather than wasting precious resources on fighting back? How do we get the best of change? These and more would be answered in this article.
How do we know which change is inevitable? As earlier said, change is as a result of our actions or inactions. Simple put if our actions or inactions cannot be reversed literally, then the change is inevitable. For instance, putting your phone on viberation means it won’t ring out, if you want it to ring out then you have to undo your action meanwhile if you squander all your savings it means you will be broke at least for a while, in that meantime being broke (the change) is inevitable because you can’t reverse your action.

How do we deal with the challenges that comes with change? Firstly, I need you to know that resisting an INEVITABLE change is a pure waste of time. No matter which method you pursue, supernatural or natural would only leave you more miserable than you should be. You need to embrace the change and look for ways to make the best of the new situation, this way you are half way over the challenges that comes with change. Also, you need to understand that this change are as a result of your actions or inactions, hence your next actions or inactions are to be channeled to ensuring the change is only in transit or ensuring you take advantage of the change.
How do we channel our energy to embracing the new normal rather than wasting precious resources on fighting back? As earlier established, change that involves loss, can be so difficult to embrace however it has also been established that inevitable change needs no resisting. It you have understood these two facts, then you would agree with me that your energy would only be well channeled, if it is channeled towards swimming with the tide rather than against it. For instance, you lost your job, rather than cry and bemoan what has happened, see it has having more time to search for a better job. Don’t waste time praying that they should call you back, channel your energy to getting something better while keeping the lessons of how you got to that point, so it doesn’t happen again.
How do we get the best of change? This just the summary of everything, getting the best of the change requires that (I) understand you got yourself here (II) If it is inevitable then it is irresistible (III) the only way forward is to embrace the new normal (IV) focus on the positive sides of your new situation (V) do all you can to take advantage of the positive sides. These 5 steps would work wonders, don’t be trapped in limbo between what used to be and what it is. Embrace what is!
