Religion is not faith, even though most religion would want you to believe otherwise. Religion, human beings’ relation to that which they regard as holy, sacred, absolute, spiritual, divine, or worthy of especial reverence. Religion simply is human giving power to people, ideas, or beliefs. While Faith is a complete trust in what has worked before.
Religion is more about an institution that protects an idea, usually enforcing such ideas through fear, gilt tripping, blackmail and sometimes punishment. While Faith trusts you with the freedom to choose what would work for you.
Most religious leaders are feeding fat because people can’t differentiate between these two. Religious wars are a result of this ignorance, and worse of all, the feeling that one needs to come to God’s defence is deeply rooted in lack of knowledge.
