*Each second, is a new chance.*

Find reasons to go on! – Selahsomeone

“Each second, is a new chance”. I’ve heard these words before but now they ring differently. It’s funny that before when I heard them, they didn’t have the same impact. They didn’t make as much sense then as they do now. So I questioned myself, “what have I got to lose?” I am down already what choice do I have? Now, I’m have to act on these words like this is the best piece of advice in the world.

It is true I can’t change what comes next, I can’t change where the wind of opportunity will blow to, I can’t determine what nature has in store for the world but I can change how I respond to life, what I do next is key, a key in my own hands.

Each second, is a new chance. So I will leave the judgement to those that have given up. As for me, I’ve got living to do. A second ago doesn’t matter even if it was adverse. Because I have the next one to look forward to. And the next one after that, and the next one after that. All I must do, is dare to take another step, it is clear to me that giving up is not an option.

Behind the mysteries of life is also the mysteries of choice. Life throws its canon and I shield with my choices. Often times, it is not convenient but if i must survive, I have to make the tough calls. I don’t question the fairness of life because I know it is all in my choices of response to life.

Each second, is a new chance. So my head will stay in an upright position. Keeping my mind on the future, yesterday is meant to be built upon and not to be caged by; If I lose, if I win, I will always have something to build on. It’s all in the same circle of knowledge, wisdom and understanding. So in the end, I will be, just fine. And I won’t waste time judging myself because now I know better.

Each second, is a new chance.

Each second, is a new chance

Not That I Don’t Have Faith

Faith is a very common word use in different sects of spiritual believes to inspire one thing, and that is HOPE. The root word from which we get ‘faith, the noun is PISTIS, the verb is PISTUEO. FAITH – PISTIS means belief, firm persuasion, assurance, firm conviction, faithfulness to which an end is assured. Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see (NLT). Faith has an aura of light at the end of the tunnel written all over it but with many questions about what happens before the light comes.

Does faith fail? Yes it does! But why?

Faith is one word we misuse obviously because most of us don’t really understand how it works. Note this, you can have faith and still fail, do you know why? Faith has some terms and conditions attached to it. Faith can’t work in a vacuum, it needs some condiments to make it deliver.

Elisha and the Widow’s Oil
A certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the LORD. And the creditor is coming to take my two sons to be his slaves.”
So Elisha said to her, “What shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?” And she said, “Your maidservant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil.”
Then he said, “Go, borrow vessels from everywhere, from all your neighbors—empty vessels; do not gather just a few. And when you have come in, you shall shut the door behind you and your sons; then pour it into all those vessels, and set aside the full ones.”
So she went from him and shut the door behind her and her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured it out. Now it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said to her son, “Bring me another vessel.”
And he said to her, “ There is not another vessel.” So the oil ceased. Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debt; and you and your sons live on the rest.”

Reference 2 Kings 4: 1-7 (NKJV)

Faith would only work well, when you fulfill your own part of the bargain, when you make available certain atmospheres for it to flourish. There 3 basic things you need to make your faith work for you;

1. Believe: You have to believe in something of higher significance; believe in God, His Son, His prophets, in possibilities and importantly in yourself. The widow took the words of Elisha and acted on them because she believed. She most likely had many questions but she was able to shut those questions and scepticism up because she believed not only in the God of Elisha but also in Elisha and the possibilities of miracles. Science has revealed that there is a part of the brain known as the “God Spot”, and its main function is to aide our believe system, and that is why everyone believes in something; that part of the brain must be filled. So it now depends on you as a person to determine what would fill that space in your brain. But if faith is what you throw around and rely on, then you will have to fill the God Spot with God.

2. Be ready to follow instructions: For faith to work, instructions have to be followed. There would be certain things that would be required of you depending on what you are exercising faith on, and you will have to do them for your faith to work. For instance, if you are trusting God for a new job you will have to apply or make your availability known to people, if you are trusting God for a child you will have to have a man to copulate with, if you are trusting God for financial empowerment you will have to meet people and so on that’s how it works. Elisha gave the widow instructions and she followed them to the letter, faith would require you to follow instructions, to be obedient and be detailed. Remember, the story of the Fishermen and Jesus, they had tried all night long but they caught nothing. When Jesus came into the picture he asked them to throw in their net one more time; that was an explicit instruction. Yes! It was the same water, in fact the same spot they had tried all night long but then they had to obey that instruction and the result was abundance of fishes. One could have expected Jesus to command fishes to start raining from the sky but No! there are processes to life, you have to do certain things before certain things can happen.

3. You would have to Work your Faith: Faith without Work is dead (FwWD). There are no shortcuts, if you don’t work for anything you can’t earn something and it is the same with God. With faith comes work, they go together. The widow had to do the pouring of the oil, that’s work you know? Have you tried filling a bottle with oil before? Trust me, just one bottle can be exhausting not to talk of filling many pots. Many people will tell you they have faith yet they are not ready to put their best efforts forward; my brothers and my sisters, it doesn’t work that way. Even the woman with the issue of blood had to work her way through the crowd to get to Jesus, before she could exercise her faith. In scheme of things, it is usually Faith Work Faith then Result. Let me point this out, most people’s faith gets disappointed because they hoped faith would work without them working. Remember, there are processes in life; even luck requires some real work of positioning.

Don’t throw the word “faith” around in ignorance and oblivion of what is required of you. Fulfill your own part, be diligent about it, follow instructions and be steadfast in believe. It might take a while before you see the results but trust me it will be worth every second you spent waiting. God can do beyond your expectations, keep trusting, keep hoping, something beautiful is coming your way.

BE HOPEFUL IN HOPELESS SITUATION

Hello!
I heard, you wanna die
How true?
You really want to get rid of your life?

Anyway,
There are many ways to say goodbye;
But, I would suggest one,
Throw yourself in a deep sea
Splash! splash!! splash!!!
There you go.
You would definitely start struggling
To save your life.

You would find it hard give up the struggle.

Why?
Well I know
Life might be hard,
Bitter, painful, and seem unfulfilling.
But there are people making headway
In this same unfair world.
Why then do we want to kill ourselves?

We definitely don’t want to.
But we are trying to kill something else inside of us.
The resentment, the stigma, the anxiety and the sufferings
Are what lies within us
And we are trying to kill ourselves to get rid of them.

Some of us live recklessly
Just to prove we don’t care
Often in rebelion against our family, friends or soceity
This doesn’t change what they feel about us
It only kills the little respect we have left
Good only comes from effort

Here’s what I have for you.
There’s an immense beauty, fruitfulness
And goodness that abounds in this World
Many success stories point to this fact
Life is a potent sign that there’s hope!
You’ll surely overcome your travails.
Just live, learn, love and enjoy your days.

Stop trying to kill yourself!

Your Life is Precious

See The Positives in You

See The Positives in You

Whining is more like a trend these days, in fact unconsciously people just start to complain about anything and everything; how their life sucks, and some even compete with whose life sucks the most. You hear one person saying “my life is hell” and another saying “mine is more hell than yours”. Come on guys, we have to keep hope alive to stay alive, we have to focus on the positives we still have. Pity party can seem like fun and relieving but in the end it doesn’t solve the problem, rather it robs us off the zeal to fight back.

For every downside there is always an upside but it takes learning to appreciate what is unseen. Tragedy has a way of magnifying the buts, the should haves and the inflicted but with deep thoughts we can always see the blessings, the haves and the deflected. Raw diamond could be mistaken for an ordinary stone but even in its raw form people with knowledge still know its worth. No matter how tough times may be, if you have faith you will be able to see beyond the trials.

I remember some years back, I was battling with loss of job and many people i knew then kept reminding me of how many mistakes i made on my way to losing the job, some tried to shift and push the blame on my colleagues while others almost turn it into a charade of pity party and jamboree of condolences. I remember telling myself “I may have made some mistakes, some people may have had a hand in it but i can always come back from these better”. I didn’t just sit and allow life roll me over, I pushed back by not allowing myself drown in the negatives. I focused on the positives; my skill, my experience and my expertise, even when people said it was going to be hard getting another job, I was never in doubt i can come through.

Don’t hold your problems high up, don’t emphasize your negatives, focus on where you want to be, the kind of life you see yourself living five or ten years from now and work passionately towards it. We seriously have to quit bemoaning our situation, past or present, for a fact we will all pass through some forms of trying times, but these trying times are not meant to be our end rather a means to an end depending on our attitude during and after these times. Our attitude; did we choose to complain or embrace and forge ahead?

One day, a donkey fell into a pit. The animal cried and whined for hours while his owner tried to figure out what to do. Finally, the farmer decided that since the animal was old, and the pit needed to be covered up anyway, he’d just bury the old donkey right there. He got a shovel and started filling in the pit. The donkey kept up its wailing, but then fell silent. After an hour of furious shovelling, the farmer paused to rest. To his amazement, he saw his old donkey jump out of the pit and trot away! At first, when the donkey realized what was happening, he cried even more piteously. But then the wise animal hit on a plan. As each spadeful of dirt hit his back, the donkey would shake it off and take a step up on the growing mound of earth. Eventually, the mound grew high enough for him to jump out of the pit. Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the pit well is to shake it off and take a step up. We can get out of the deepest pits by not stopping and never giving up. Just shake it off and take a step up.

– Jew tales

Most people focus on the negatives because they keep comparing themselves with other people. They keep using other’s achievements as yardstick for their own lives. Life is not designed to be a rat race, as individuals we have our own unique contribution and they are embedded in the lessons we have learned and the positives we have taken from our troubles over the years. Don’t waste your time chasing others when you can be setting your own pace, there are lot of positives you can take from your current situation and create the kind of life you want for yourself. It is never too late to decide on who you want to be; the guy that whined about everything and did nothing or the guy that made the best of bad situations and lived happily ever after.

Life is no fairy tale my friend but miracles still happen, people still move from nothing to something, talents still make way, hard work still gets reward, faith still move mountains, persistence still breaks through, consistence still gets celebrated and negatives still yield a whole lot of positives.

When Men Are Cast Down…

When Men Are Cast Down…

Times are pretty hard and even the world’s smartest economists attest to this, recession is biting so hard, we can even see the bite marks on the rich and famous. The slogan now is adjustments, restructuring, change, downsizing, cutting costs and so on. “Things are hard” is no longer the excuse of the stingy, it is now the reality of the selfless. Things are so bad that even the faithfuls might want to beginning to accept that fact; I almost did until I understood Job 22: 21 – 30 emphasis on 29a, “When [men] are cast down, then thou shalt say, [There is] lifting up…”

Then I realized, I don’t operate based on what the economists say, how the rich and famous feel, what the trending slogans are nor what has become the reality of the selfless. I am a faithful, I trust a Father who is beyond the natural, I trust a God that delights in doing wonders and I serve a master who has everything, and has promised to satisfy me according to His riches in Glory…Wow! What more assurance do I need!

Now if you happen to share the same Father with me,then you have to know this applies to you too. Grace is like an inheritance, but if you do not know you have it, you cannot use it. Now I am telling you; you have it, it was given to you by your Father, tap into it and use it. You are above the economies of this world because the inheritance you share is not of this world and you do not operate within the limitations of the natural because your Father is the master of the supernatural.

When people are saying it is a hard time you will be saying it is a time you had more. When people are being sacked, you will be sharing testimonies of promotion. When other businesses are folding up, yours will be unfolding new branches and growth ideas. When others find it difficult to make ends meet, you would be tying both ends and helping others too. When most find it unbearable you will be bearing fruits of abundance. You are not of this world!

You are a child of the most high, you are the seed of Abraham with wisdom of Solomon, the heart of Christ and designed to fulfill purpose. Be what you have been designed to be, take bold steps towards achieving your dreams and trust your Father to make all things work in your favour.

Worry Is A Waste Of Time

Worry Is a Waste of Time

Worry is one of the most ineffective pastimes we can indulge in. Jesus Himself asked, ‘Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?’ (Matthew 6:27 NLT). Worry is the assassin of rest and relationships. It stalks us and hijacks our minds. While we may continue to function publicly, there’s a sinister force lurking within us.

image

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.’ Philippians 4:6 NLT

This enemy called worry disorients moods, destroys creativity, and depletes your sense of completion which comes from within and can’t be achieved by the acquisition of things. Why do we wrestle so much with things we can’t change?

One pastor writes: ‘It took me years to realise that when I went to bed I shouldn’t go with half my day wrapped around my head. I wrestled all night with issues that couldn’t be resolved until morning anyway. I can’t tell you how many days I went to work feeling like the worn heel of an old shoe. I was less effective, tenser, unable to perform to full capacity, and it took its toll on my relationships.’ Can you relate?

Here’s God’s prescription for worry: ‘Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus … Fix your thoughts on what is true … honorable … right … pure … lovely, and admirable … things that are excellent and worthy of praise … Then the God of peace will be with you’ (Philippians 4:6-9 NLT).

In My Life Nothing is Impossible; The Zidane’s Story

In My Life Nothing is Impossible; The Zidane’s Story

Even if you dream about it, hear about it, see it , want to do it, you tell yourself that it’s impossible, that’s why in my life nothing is impossible.
“Zinedine Zidane” About scoring in a World Cup final

image

This motivational slogan “in my life nothing is impossible” came to me some years ago, back then when OGBC (Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation), was a must listen to. I recall it was an interview on Brilla Sports by Larry Izamoje (not sure whether it was a live or rebroadcast) which featured a World Cup winner, the young Zinadine Zidane. The interview gave birth to my most motivating slogan till today, each time I feel down or not sure, I repeat the slogan and I just get comfy again.

Here are bits and pieces from the interview, I hope it impacts on you as much as it does to me…

Back in France 1998 before the final of the World Cup, Zidane recalled a discussion he had with Emmanuel Petit, the morning of the final match against Brazil. Zidane said, “Emmanuel called me and told me he had a dream that we defeated Brazil, 3 goals to nothing”.I bursted into laughter and I told him, he should stop kidding around because that can never happen!  Then he continued, he said “you scored two of the goals but wasn’t sure who scored the third”, Now I couldn’t control my laughter. I remembered telling him that was impossible; with the likes of Ronaldo De lima in front , Cafu and Carlos at back and TAFFAREL in goal and captain Dunga, that was just not possible. We laughed it off and went for the light walkout.

We were well aware of the task ahead of us, in what will be a very difficult match but which we all dreamed of playing. When we filed out, I stood close to Emmanuel, a part of me wanted to believe that dreams do come true but at the same time I was trying to be realistic. When the match finally started we missed lots of chances and my doubts grew. Then the first goal came, I’m not very good with my head. But I went for the near post on the corner from Emmanuel (Petit). I got there and the ball came, and I headed it right for once. It’s fabulous. My thought was, “this is just a coincidence”. Then I got the second goal, I was just ecstatic. Dreams are coming true, I have my two goals as Emmanuel had said. Then in the second half, we lost Marcel Desailly to red card, my doubts came again, “Brazil can still equalize”, I told myself. We held the ball well and tried to see the game through, then the most amazing thing happened, we had a break and at the end of it was Emmanuel, he got the third goal on the dot of the final whistle. I told myself, “little wonder he didn’t see who got the third goal”.

image

There was huge pressure, especially before the big games. Not many people believed in us, but we believed in ourselves. We wanted to do something good and we did. Climbing the podium that day to collect the medal everything kept playing over in my head, dreams do come true, I finally agree. It may seems difficult to believe, even if you dream about it, hear about it, see it , want to do it, you tell yourself that it’s impossible. But since that day I never have doubts and that’s why in my life nothing is impossible.

In my life too, nothing is impossible, I might have challenges, I might be faced with limitations, impossibilities might seem written all over my circumstances but I am so confident that in my life nothing is impossible. I have seen dreams come true, I have heard testimonies, I have watch breakthroughs unfold, I have seen the unbelievable happen and I have come to the conclusion that nothing is impossible. Young men making the difference, ladies leading beautiful ideas, events challenging believe, old people giving hope, children with impeccable wisdom and I believe that is life reminding me, nothing is impossible! What about you?

Hope: The Tyler Perry Story

Hope: The Tyler Perry Story

There is a man I so much love and respect I discovered something great about this man, he never achieved his success overnight, he never gave up he had the hope that his dreams will come pass, if you are a big fan of Madea then you will know this man it is no other person but the Madea character himself “TYLER PERRY”.

image

Born into poverty in New Orleans, Louisiana on 13th September 1969 as Emmit Perry Jnr, as a child he suffered abuse from his father like he once said that his father’s answer to anything was to beat it out of you and he even attempted suicide once just to escape his father’s beatings, the only place he found refuge was in church which his mother took him once a week and in an effort to distance himself from his father at the age of sixteen he changed his name from Emmit to Tyler Perry, he never completed  his high school degree but he earned a General education development which is known as GED (a diploma for adults which is equivalent to a high- school diploma). A simple advice from Oprah Winfrey set his career into motion, encouraged to keep a diary of his thoughts and experiences, he began writing a series of soul-searching letters to himself, the letters were full of pain and in time forgiveness became a healing of emotional release, his writings later inspired a musical called I know I’ve been Changed.

In 1992, he gathered his life savings of about $12,000 in hopes of staging a play he spent all his money but people never came and Tyler once again came face to face with poverty that had plagued his youth, he spent months sleeping in seedy motels and in his car but his faith in his God and in himself only got stronger, he kept writing and in 1998 his perseverance paid off , a promoter booked I know I’ve been changed for a limited run at a local church-turned-theatre and this time people came out in droves and Tyler never looked back. Tyler Perry has earned US $130 million between May 2010 and 2011, in 2011 Forbes named him the highest paid man in entertainment and today he is a nothing but a success story. He is a man who had hope and never gave up.

image

Samuel Smiles said “Hope is like the sun, which as we journey toward it, casts the shadow of our burden behind us” Hope is that stubborn thing in us that insists in spite the challenges it believes that something better awaits us; all we need is the courage to keeping believing, keep reaching, keep working hard and not giving up. There are times when it looks as if the world is crashing and it seems like your good dreams will never come pass but I want you know all you need to do is to hold on to your faith, keep your hopes alive and don’t give up.

I have good news for you it doesn’t matter where you are, your background, your past, who your parents are you can actually make it if only you keep working hard and you keep your faith alive there is always enough room at the top. I know it may be hard right now but I want you to know that God has not forgotten you. You are in God’s plan, so do not be discouraged. All you need to do, is to light that candle called “Hope” and keep it burning, for a brighter future awaits you. Morgan Freeman didn’t appear in a movie until age 34, and didn’t get a big role until he was 52, he kept doing what he knows how to do best, he didn’t lose hope in spite of his age and it paid of. He is now one of the highest paid artist.

image

Anne Frank said “When there is hope, there is life. It fills us with fresh courage and makes us strong again” as long you are still breathing and you are still alive you can make it, don’t lose that hope of making it, sustain that hope! Of course, the road is not going to be easy, every great man has been there but what made them great was that they never gave up. You are born to be great, God never made you a failure, failure is just temporary, if you have failed get up and get going.
Remember, you are not a failure, you are a success and the world is waiting for you because your story will inspire generations if you don’t give up, I challenge you today to sustain that hope and keep your dreams alive because you are born to be great! I believe in you! Keep working hard! The best you can be is number one!

God bless you

Keep your hope alive!

What’s The Use of Knowledge?

What’s the use of knowledge?

What is the use of knowledge that is not applied? In my experience as a counsellor and motivational speaker, I have met so many people, of different colours, background and academic orientation but the most unbelievable sets of people are those that seem to be very vast yet seem not to be so wise. These sets of people usually know the answers to all questions, they are knowledgeable in many fields of life and have overwhelming experiences but they lack the wisdom it takes to harmonize these things. Knowledge without wisdom is pointless.

image

Wisdom is not about the things you know or how vast you are, wisdom is simple the application of the knowledge you have acquired. What use is a knowledge acquired which doesn’t affect or manifest in our lives or decision making. It baffles me when I see people leaving major decisions that affect their lives to chances and hearsays. It is easy to have big dreams and talk sweet lives but living requires wisdom and taking calculated risk.

The Bible says, “a fool says in his heart there is no God…”. A fool can be a professor, a scholar, rich man or perhaps an impoverished person but so long as knowledge accumulated is not applied, that is foolishness. If you see a bad situation you most likely know the likely outcome, wisdom presupposes you avoid or prevent it but when you are forced into a bad situation then you can always count on miracle to get you out of it. The availability of choice implies the use of wisdom while foolishness effectively neutralizes the possibilities of miracle.

What you have seen, what you have heard and what you have read are what are summed up and called experience. They don’t count for nothing, they are advantages or edges circumstances have bestowed on you to help you outwit most of life trials. Some say “it can’t happen to me”, maybe or maybe not, but believe me, if you walk into fire, there is 99% guarantee you will get burnt. Rules are the same, if you act foolish you will be called a fool. I am not disputing miracles but I also know it is wrong to tempt God by deliberately walking into a trap.

image

Do not waste the knowledge you have acquired by just storing them without putting them to use. Let your every step be guided by the experience you have gathered over time. Make your goals your guiding principles when taking life’s important decisions. Know that you can’t live life counting on luck or chance. Plan with what you have even though you are hoping for something bigger. Focus on what is real but know that because you can’t see it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. Listen to learn and not for argument sake and in all things don’t don’t forsake wisdom.

Broke Can’t Be Happy

Broke Can’t Be Happy

The ultimate goal of every individual is happiness, though definition of happiness may differ from one person to another. However, as far as I know, one of the factors that can hinder happiness is being broke. I have heard few people say their happiness is not dependent on availability of money and I agree with them. Availability of money doesn’t necessarily mean happiness but when you are Broke (absolute lack of money to meet immediate needs), no matter how religious, contented or hopeful you are, it is hard to be Happy.

I am not about to tell you how you are going to get rich overnight, neither is this a get rich quick scheme nor means of evoking the spirit of money. However, I believe that if you can work based on the factors I am about to point out in your life, things will turn around for the best.

image

Here are 7 reasons why you are broke almost all the time.

1. You have too much idle time
You have too much idle time on your hands. Your time is not well invested in productive activities. You sleep all day, hang out with friends, hang around cybercafes, stay online without real business there, you are the official mascot of the newspaper stand etc…these are time killers. You should realize that every second is valuable, some people get value for them and you should do same too.

2. You are scared of trying something new
Fear is the culprit of many troubles we go through, little wonder the book of life kept saying “fear not”. If you do not act, you can not actualize, no shortcuts. Waiting for a perfect time is just a perfect excuse to be a perfect nothing. I have read through people’s success stories and I have not found anyone successful with a perfect start. You want to stay in your comfort zone, where you and I know nothing works because you are scared of failing. If you see where you are as your ground zero, you will realize you can’t fall further than that.

3. You think everyone else is responsible for your predicament but you.
Everyone is responsible but you; your father, your mother,  your friends, siblings, employer…everybody but you. I use to blame too, until I realized it was robbing me off improvement; places I ought to improve, I kept thinking someone else should be responsible. Even when it is obvious that others contributed to the failure, your focus should be YOU; “what could you have done differently?”. Responsibility is credibility, without assuming responsibility, it is hard to be in credit.

4. You are busy waiting for opportunity
Opportunity they say comes but ones… though this axiom has been faulted on several occasions but the reality remains opportunities are scarce resources with numerous suitors. If you keep waiting for it, you might grow old without a knock on your door. Our life is an open door and when you’re not alert opportunity will “coming and go out” without you knowing but when you are all out for possible opportunities, you can’t miss it. “You don’t wait till the iron gets hot before you strike it, you keep striking till the iron gets hot.”

5. You haven’t learned to separate need from want.
When you are not financially disciplined, it is hard not to be broke. We have needs and we have wants…you need water but you want alcohol, one is readily available and affordable while the other is a distance away and yet expensive… Your decision is the difference between being broke and being bloom. Apply this concept to all other choices you make on daily basis, ask questions like; do I really need this? does my survival depend on this?  No doubt want to someone might be a need to another. To a student having a car is a want but to a commercial driver it is a need. So you need to know where each item fits in your own life.

6. You do not re-invest
You are expected to re-investing at least 10% of your income … Salary, profit, gift, allowances etc, but you do not re-invest. Life is in seasons…planting and harvesting seasons, for instance. If you do not plant, I need not tell you there won’t be anything to harvest. Planting includes saving for rainy day, investing to have other streams of income, giving to people and giving to satisfy your religious convictions. When you fail in the act of planting, the act of harvesting will fail you and being broke becomes inevitable.

7. You don’t believe in yourself.
You are not convinced you can do anything good. All the first six reasons boil down to this, if you do not believe in yourself, you can’t even make efforts to make things right. If you are a pessimist, if you don’t have hope, if you don’t believe you can be productive, if you don’t believe you can make it, If you can’t have faith in yourself then hardly can anything work. You have to overcome this before you can embark on making things right with your finances and your life.

I know you are probably thinking of a shortcut or something that won’t work you that much; like winning a jackpot, lottery or getting free huge sum but here is the bitter truth, even if you hit the jackpot without fixing yourself and aligning with these 7 reasons, you will eventually break the pot and go back to being broke.

image

I believe in you and I am sure many others do too, don’t let us down!
